Overview:
Florida Blood Services serves 39 hospitals and over 90 ambulatory healthcare facilities in four counties...which
means we must collect 750+ units of blood every day!
We could not meet these requirements without the outstanding support we receive from the leadership of the Hillsborough,
Manatee, Pasco and Pinellas County school systems.
The high school participation in the four-county area for the 2006-2007 School Year Donations = 26,487 units.
Challenge:
To create and foster a new generation of responsible blood donors within our community and our nation.
